Just look at these beautiful boys! The colors on most African flower
chafers look like they come straight from Wonka labs. These are both
Megalorrhina Harrisi peregrina collected from two different locales with
two completely different looks. Strange how nature can take a single
creature and create so many variations. Nomenclature is ever evolving
process and many times these variants will be reclassified as separate or
subspecies. Head shape between the two of these leads me to believe that
that will be the case later on down the line but I'm definitely no pro
entomologist, I just like bugs. Anyone else have anymore insight to these?
