Ramses II bracelet

Ramses II bracelet. Solid gold bracelets consist of two parts linked on one side of a hinge and on the other a clasp. The upper, widest part of the bracelet is decorated with a two-headed duck. His body consisted of a large piece of framed lapis lazuli by a wide set of gold plate. The two hands and the spreading duck had a tail made of gold, decorated with beads and welded small wire. Gold mining has a long history in Egypt as ancient artifacts attest. This golden bracelet and lapis lazuli may have been worn by Ramses II or one of his favorites. From popastes (Teal - Pasta). Now in the Egyptian Museum Cairo
